Obituary

Sr. Blanche Allard, PM (Sr. Jean du Saint-Sacremont), of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary, died January 24, 2013 at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester.

She was born in Berlin on August 9, 1918 to Joseph and Alice (Dubois) Allard. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary in 1936, made her first profession in 1939 and her final profession in 1944.

She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in French from Rivier College in Nashua.

Sr. Blanche was an educator who taught French in the Elementary schools of Rhode Island and New Hampshire. She joined the Rivier College staff as an aide in the Alumni Office for 14 years. She served as an aide at the Presentation of Mary Generalate in Castel Gandolfo, Italy. In 1996, she retired with the Presentation of Mary Community of Hudson and in 2012 joined the Presentation of Mary community at St. Joseph Residence in Manchester.

Her family includes nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 in the Resurrection Chapel. Burial was in Presentation of Mary Cemetery in Hudson, NH.
