Alonso, Joseph C. age 93 of Paramus, formerly of Dumont, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2013. Beloved husband of Mary (nee) Petillo. Devoted father of Mary A. Alonso, and Barbara A. Zucchino and her husband Raymond. Survived by his dear sister Morita Sferra. Loving brother of the late Josephine Osborne, Helena Hein, Dolores DelRe and Mary Alonso. Joseph spent 31 years as a radio engineer with CBS Radio in New York City. Prior to that he served in the US Coast Guard during WWII. He was an avid HAM radio operator who loved to travel. His sense of humor endeared him to many people. Services for Joseph are being held privately by his family.
