JIVELEKIAN, Richard E. - Of Malden, January 24th. Devoted son of the late Edward and Isabel (Arakelian) Jivelekian. Beloved brother of Roxie Perimian of FL, David Jivelekian of Melrose, Beatrice Haydostian of Malden and the late Alice Curtice, Ira Jivelekian and Grace Bradley. Lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Carroll Funeral Home, 721 Salem Street, (Maplewood Square) MALDEN on Tuesday, January 29th at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem Street, Malden at 9 o'clock. Services will conclude with interment at Forestdale Cemetery, Malden.
Born in Boston and a lifelong Malden resident, Richard passed away at the Wakefield care and Rehabilitation Center Thursday morning at the age of 82. A United States Army Corporal during the Korean Conflict, he was employeed for 25 years as an electrician AFGA in Wilmington. A great musician, from 1998 until 2005 he would perform on the Pavilion at Revere Beach on Saturday nights and received a citation from then Revere mayor Robert Haas for his service and professionalism in the music business.
