PEABODY — John P. Tortolini, age 84, of Peabody, formerly of Lynn, died at the Essex Park Rehab and Nursing Center, Beverly, after a lengthy illness. Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Peter J. and Rose (Bowden) Tortolini and the husband of Dorothy A. (Turkowski) Tortolini with whom he shared 59 years of marriage.
He was educated in Lynn Schools and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a salesman for the former A.C. Lawrence Leather Factory for many years.
Besides his wife he is survived by three sons, Peter J. and his wife Patricia Tortolini of Londonderry, NH; Richard J. of Westboro; and David and his wife Patricia Tortolini of Peabody. Also beloved grandfather of seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was the father of the late Julie A. Tortolini and brother of the late Bernard Tortolini.
Service Information: Relatives and friends are invited to attend graveside services in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wednesday, January 30 at 10:15 a.m., gathering at the main gate at 10 a.m. At his request, there will be no visiting hours. Arrangements by the NADWORNY FUNERAL HOME, 798 Western Ave., Lynn.
