Lawrence, Ma. – Raffaela (Evangelista). Guay 92, died January 23, 2013 at the Methuen Health and Rehabilitation Center in Methuen.
Mrs. Guay was born in Italy May 7, 1920 the daughter of Amasio and Maria (Cardillo) Evengelista. Mrs. Guay received her education in Italy For many years Raffaela worked in House Keeping at both Holy Family Hospital for 15 years and the Burke Hospital before retiring.
Raffaela was a Communicant of Saint Monica’s Church and loved to go to lunch with her friends from Saint Monica’s.
The widow of Lawrence Guay; Raffaela is survived by her son Anthony L. Guay in Methuen, 1 grandson Christopher Guay of Tampa, FL and 2 great grandchildren
2 brothers Arcangelo of Montreal, Canada and Silvano also of Santiago, Chile and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs Guay was predeceased by her son Frank L Guay.
A Funeral Mass will take place on Monday at 9 o’clock in Saint Monica Church with entombment to follow in Saint Mary Immaculate Conception Mausoleum.
Friends will be warmly received on Sunday January 28th 2013 from 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Saint Monica’s Church 212 Lawrence Street Methuen, Ma. 01844 and to Holy Family Hospital 70 East Street in Methuen also.
