Mr. Michael Andrew Troy, a resident of Methuen and formerly of Andover, died suddenly at the Lawrence General Hospital in Lawrence on January 20, 2013. He was 42 years old.
Born in Morristown, New Jersey, on September 14, 1970, he was the son of Arthur J. and Donna D. Troy of Andover. Mr. Troy was a Service Representative for Verizon for many years. He was a graduate of the University of South Florida. Michael loved baseball and football. He also enjoyed fishing and playing golf.
Besides his parents, he will be sorely missed by his two sisters and brothers-in-law; Shannon M. and her husband Colin B. Finn of Blackstone and Nancy L. and her husband Jeffrey A. Andrews of Chelmsford, three nieces; Maeve Finn and Eloise and Georgia Andrews and many relatives and friends.
His funeral service was celebrated in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, Friday, January 25, 2013, at 8 PM. Many relatives and friends attended. Calling hours were held on Friday, prior to the service, from 6 to 8 PM. Interment was held on Saturday, January 26, 2013, at 11 AM at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge.
