Obituary

Fantazian, Ojen, age 99, of Lowell, formerly of Arlington, January 22, 2013. She was a survivor of the Armenian Genocide and she arrived at Ellis Island in 1920. She was the beloved wife of the late Harry Fantazian. She is survived by her children, James Fantazian of Chelmsford and Nancy Asbedian and her husband Val of Bedford. Loving grandmother of James Asbedian and Susan Ciaffi, she is also survived by 6 great grandchildren. Sister of David Davidian. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. For 10 years Ojen helped teach English in the Arlington school system to foreign children. She was a lover of classical music and opera, seeing some of the great artists of her time and instilling in her children an interest in music.
Funeral service at Saint Stephen’s Armenian Church, 38 Elton Avenue, Watertown on Saturday, January 26 at 11:00 a.m. A visitation period will be held at the Aram Bedrosian Funeral Home, 558 Mount Auburn Street, Watertown on Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 immediately prior to the church service.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend .In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Saint Stephen’s Armenian Church or Saint Gregory’s Armenian Church, 158 Main Street, North Andover 01845. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington.
