Worcester – James Lambe, 86, of Worcester, died on Tuesday, January 22nd in Umass Memorial Medical Center – Memorial Campus after an illness.
Mr. Lambe is survived by his wife of 27 years, Mary (O’Brien) Lambe; a daughter Katie Lambe of Worcester; 3 sisters, Dorothy George of Northbridge, Catherine John and Beverly Barrell both of Worcester and many nephews and nieces. James was born in Korce, Albania son of the late, Angelo and Frosina (Koro) Lambe.
He is a graduate of the former Worcester Boys Trade School and served in the United States Coast Guard. Mr. Lambe was a bartender for many years at Eden Gardens and later worked at Matt’s Health and Fitness Center following his retirement. Jim was a member at the YMCA for over 65 years.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 25th at 11 AM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery.
