Lois A. (Johnson) Osting-Siefer, age 98, of Anderson, passed away at Meadowbrooke Rehabilitation Centre on January 17, 2013.
She was born Dec. 4, 1914, in Brook, Indiana to Dr. Robert and Martha Johnson. She was raised in Elwood, IN and graduated from Wendell Wilkie High School. She later married Robert L. Osting on September 28, 1940 and they moved to Anderson.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family.
Lois also worked at Guide Lamp during World War II.
She enjoyed living in Florida with her husband for several years before returning to Anderson in 1988. Later in life, she was married to Raymond Siefer for 5 years.
Survivors include her daughter, Marilyn A. (Osting) Wenger and her husband Timothy; grandchildren, Lori Wenger of Anderson; David Wenger (Ericka) of Kokomo; great grandchildren, Ava, Eli and Ali Wenger of Kokomo and a few nieces and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert L. Osting in 1983 and second husband, Raymond Siefer in 2008; brother, Robert Johnson of Cocoa Beach, Florida.
The family would like to thank the staff of Meadowbrooke Rehabilitation Centre for their care and support.
Services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service; 229 S. Rangeline Road; Anderson with Kent Stookey officiating. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
