Blanche L. Kelley, 92, of, Derry, NH, died Sunday January 20, 2013 in Pleasant Valley Nursing Center in Derry. She was born in West Haven, CT on March 25, 1920, a daughter of Samuel and Bess Lewin, and had been a resident of Derry since 2007, formerly living in Connecticut for 86 years. Mrs. Kelley received her Associates degree from Quinnipiac College and had been employed as a school librarian for Kolbe High School in Bridgeport, CT. She was an avid reader.
She is survived by her son, Bruce Kelley of Richmond, VA; her daughter, Beth Darasz of Derry; six grandchildrren; and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband George E. Kelley in 1982, two brothers and one sister.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a private memorial service will be held in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of New England, 24 Ferry Rd., Nashua, NH 03060.
