Eva (Gomes Vilaça) Noversa, age 89 of Fall River passed away January 18, 2013. Born in Braga, Portugal, she was the widow of Domingos Martins Noversa and daughter of the late Antonio Martins Vilaça and Flausina Martins Gomes da Cunha. She was a retired machine operator having worked at M&G Sportswear and Tick Tock Frocks. She was a parishioner of St. Michael Church and a member of the ILGWU. Eva loved cooking for her family, gardening and attending morning mass with her friends.
Mrs. Noversa was the mother of Joe Noversa (wife Rachel) of Virginia Beach, VA, Charles Noversa (wife Cathie) of Fall River, Albino Noversa (wife Jill) of Westport, Maria Noversa of Fall River, Felicia Coimbra (husband Gil) of Fall River, Mary Falconero (husband Robert) of Fall River, Anna Silva (husband Benjamin) of Fall River and Paula Rioux of Westport. She leaves 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and 5 late siblings.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River TUESDAY at 8 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church, Essex St. at 9 A.M.
