Priscilla V. (Labrecque) Hummell, formerly of Baldwinsville, NY, died January 17, 2013 at the age of 88 at Ridgewood Center in Bedford.
Mrs. Hummell was born in Manchester on July 20, 1924 the daughter of Omer and Antonia (Dusseault) Labrecque.
For 10 years she was a practicing Chiropractic Physician in Manchester. Upon earning her M.A. Degree she taught French and later served on the staff at the E.S. Bird Library at Syracuse University where she retired in 1992. Following her retirement, she and her husband Charles participated in the Syracuse University continuing education program. She also was a member of the Syracuse University Library Associates, the Librarians Unlimited as well as the Friends of the Library in Baldwinsville, NY..
Among her many joys was attending, with her husband, the Syracuse Symphony, Chamber Music Concerts and being a member of the Jazz Appreciation Society of Syracuse. They also traveled and enjoyed playing bridge.
She was predeceased by her husband Charles W. Hummell on June 26, 2012. Surviving members of her family are her sister and brother-in-law Inez and Atty James V. Broderick of Manchester, NH: a niece Sandra P. Puzzo and her husband Tony; two nephews, James V. Broderick III and his partner Margaret Loomis and Mark R. Broderick and his wife Robin, a grandniece Sara Puzzo and two grand nephews Zachary and Maxwell Broderick.
There are no calling hours.
A graveside memorial service will be held in the spring in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
