LUSTER - Chris Luster, 32, passed away Monday, January 14, 2013 at his Yulee, FL residence. He was born February 12, 1980 in Santa Clara, CA . Chris moved from Modesto, CA to Kings Bay, GA in 1997, and to Yulee in 2006. He was employed by PETCO in Yulee.
He was the neighborhood handyman. Chris loved helping his neighbors. He loved animals and enjoyed driving his niece, Mariah, to many of her activities. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends and remembered for his infectious smile.
Chris was preceded in death by his uncle, Mike Winistorfer and his paternal grandmother, Mama Belen.
Survivors include his parents, Roy and Daysi Luster of Yulee, FL; his sister, Christina Luster of Fernandina Beach; his maternal grandmother, Leonor "Mama Noy" Menjivar; cousins, T. J. Velasquez, Jayme Luster and Marilyn Ramirez; his girlfriend, Keely Schickedanz and her son, Julian of Napa, CA; and by his faithful dogs, Ali, Izzie and Maddie.
A memorial service was held at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, Janurary 19, at the Journey Church in Fernandina Beach with Rev. Ben Hall officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Nassau County Humane Society.
