Evelyn (Doucette) McKenna of Newton Centre died on Monday July 5 at the Sunrise Assisted Living of Mt. Vernon in Alexandria Virginia. She was 92 years old. Mrs. McKenna was a resident of Newton since she was 15 years old. The beloved wife of the late Patrick McKenna, she was the loving mother of Martha and her husband Harold Ash of Alexandria VA and Jane Doherty of Sandy Hook VA. Dear grandmother of Brendan Ash of Norfolk, Stephen Ash of San Francisco CA, Michael Doherty of Waltham, Brian Doherty of Houston TX and Kevin Doherty of Newton Highlands. Great grandmother of Erin and Megan Doherty. Sister of the late Lillian Gallivan, Mary LeBlanc and Theresa Doucette. Evelyn is also survived by her many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Eaton and Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre Street Newton Corner on Saturday July 10th at 9:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church Newton Centre at 10:00 AM.
