Obituary

Yett, Robert J. age 87 entered into rest on January 16, 2013. Beloved husband of devoted wife Lauralee (Goldstein) Yett for 44 years. Laurlalee (Goldstein) Yett. Robert was born in Burlington, VT and has been a resident of Revere for many years. He was the loving son of the late Benjamin and Ethel (Haberman) Yett of Burlington and the brother of the late Temaly Yett Jacobs of Atlanta, GA. He is survived also by his sister-in-law Renee Currie and nephew Richard Currie and was predeceased by his nephew the late Robert Currie.

From an early age, Bob was a gifted athlete. He skied, played golf and tennis and was a Vermont state ping pong champion. He also loved fishing. Modest and humble, Bob never bragged about his five holes-in-one. An avid golfer, Bob was a long time member of Kernwood Country Club. During World War II, Bob served with General Patton's troops in Europe. He was a member of Temple B'Nai Israel if Beachmont-Revere and a Master Mason from the lodge in West Rutland, Vermont.

Services will be held in the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Avenue, Chelsea on Friday, January 18 at 1PM. Interment in the Rabbi Issac Elchonon Cemetery, Everett. Condolences may be paid immediately after burial at Kernwood Country Club, Salem from 3-5PM and at the home of dear friend, Anna Donati on Sunday January 20, from 2-4PM at 588 Revere Beach Blvd, Revere. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Massachusetts General Hospital, c/o Dr. Allan Goroll, Mass General Development Office, 165 Cambridge Street, Suite 600, Boston, MA 02114. Bob will be remembered and missed by his many wonderful friends and business associates.
