Frances M. Eryou, 92, of 34 Dell Ave died October 14, 2001 in her residence after a period of failing health. She was born in Ashland NH on September 9, 1909, the daughter of George and Jennie Mae (Russell) Sorrell.
Raised in Ashland, she resided in Meredith prior to moving to Laconia around 1955. Following the death of her husband, William Eryou in 1975, she resided in New Hampton for ten years and then returned to her home in Lakeport.
Mrs. Eryou was a communicant of Our Lady of the Lakes parish. She was very talented in needlework and had made many tablecloths and bedspreads for others. She opened her home to several elderly relatives and cared for them in their time of need.
In her younger years, she enjoyed dancing at the Circle 9 Ranch in Epsom.
Family members include several nieces and nephews, among them, Roxanna Parshley, who resided with her; and several grand and great grand nieces and nephews.
A calling hour was held in the Simoneau & Lambert Funeral Home, 139 Church St., Laconia on Wednesday from 9:30 AM to 10:30AM. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in Our Lady of the Lakes Church, 50 Washington St., Lakeport at 11AM. Rev. Adrien Longchamps was the celebrant.Burial was in Green Grove Cemetery, Ashland NH . Timothy C. Molan and David L. Furber were the Funeral Directors.
