Worcester - Robert Lee Pittman, Sr., 70, passed away surrounded by his loving family January 16, 2013. He leaves his wife of 50 years, Clancy R. (Wheeler) Pittman; three sons and three daughters, Burlinda Tessier, Robert L. Pittman, Jr., Thelma Pittman, Deneice Tarbox, Ricky Pittman, and Randy Pittman; three sisters, Frances White, Doris Ware, and Norma Simms; brother, Cornelius Pittman; five grandchildren, Maurice Pittman, Alex Pittman, Jasmine Pittman, Jason Tarbox, and Nicole Tessier; 1 great-granddaughter, Elise Pittman; and many nieces & nephews. Robert was born in Indianola, Mississippi, son of Ida Bell Echols and Nathaniel Pittman. He retired from Norton Company. Robert enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends.
Calling hours will be held in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street Monday January 21, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 22 at 11:00 am in Nordgren Memorial Chapel. Burial follows in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham MA 01701.
