Marilyn Dean (Starr) Kimble, 77, of Anderson died January 15, 2013, at Alexandria Care Center following an extended illness.
Marilyn was born October 10, 1935, in Anderson to Forrest Nile & Nadine Elizabeth (Wilson) Starr.
She was a waitress during the 1950's in Anderson. She retired from Guide Lamp division of General Motors in 1993 after nearly 30 years. She was best known there as the "Safety Lady" for her work investigating job injuries and equipment safety concerns. She took extensive training as a massage therapist and retired in 2011 after 15 years.
She attended New Horizons United Methodist Church. She loved musical theater productions, Indianapolis Colts games, movies, travel, and her four grandsons.
Survivors include her son Paul Dean (wife Risa) Kimble of Farmland; four grandsons Rhett (Amy) Kimble of NY; Sean (Julie) Kimble of Fishers; Ross (Ashley) Kimble of Farmland; Drew Kimble of Farmland; 4 great-grandchildren Ava; Aidan, Quentin and Liliana Kimble; two sisters, Iris F. Barnes of WA and Paula S. Bivens of Anderson; nephews, David (Francine) Starr of Anderson; John (Julie) Bivens of Anderson; nieces Nila (Joe) Neblett of Indianapolis; Brenda (Steve) Anderson of Indianapolis; Bonita (Rick) McClure of Indianapolis; Patrick Barnes of WA; Tony Barnes of Anderson and Bethany Barnes of CA; several great-nieces and great-nephews; many special friends and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Charles V. Kimble; her brother, Maurice N. Starr; her nephew, Daniel B. Starr; two former husbands, Paul V. Kimble and Lester Davenport and a loving companion, Charlie Miller.
A memorial service will be at 5 P.M. on January 25, 2013 at New Horizons United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gina Kirkland officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer's Association or New Horizons United Methodist Church.
