Phyllis E. (Collins) LeBeau O’Connell, died on Sunday, January 13, 2013. She was 92 and lived most recently in Marshfield and Duxbury.
Phyllis was born in Springfield and lived in South Deerfield where she graduated from Deerfield Academy. Following graduation from Green Mountain College, Phyllis began her secretarial career with positions at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
A long time resident of Hingham, she and her husband Ken LeBeau settled in Hingham in 1953 where they raised their three daughters. After his death, Phyllis became the first secretary to the Hingham Fire Department. She held this position until her retirement when Phyllis married her Deerfield Academy classmate Jack O'Connell.
Phyllis was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth D. LeBeau and John G. O’Connell. Loving mother of Sandra L. O’Shea of Cohasset, Cheryl L. Wagner of Princeton, NJ, Suzanne G. LeBeau of Barre, MA and her husband Lawrence B. Johnson. Grandmother of Ryan P. O’Shea of Scituate and his wife Amanda L., Erin E. O’Shea of Cohasset, Stephanie C. Johnson of New York City, Elyse L. Johnson of Barre. Great-grandmother of Ailin L. O'Shea, Gavin L. O'Shea both of Scituate.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church 147 North St. Hingham on Friday, January 18 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.
