Obituary

Jack H. Rutter, 92, formerly of 189 Washington St., Berlin passed away on Wednesday January 16, 2013 at the Mineral Springs Nursing Home in North Conway. He was born in Uniontown, PA on May 28, 1920 the son of Henry B. and Estella (Null) Rutter and resided there until he moved to Berlin in 1988. He graduated from Uniontown Senior High School and was a US Army Veteran of World War II. Jack had been employed as a custodian in the Uniontown School System, retiring in 1985. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Uniontown and attended St. Paul Lutheran Church in Berlin. He was a lifetime member of the VFW.

Members of the family include his daughter Jacqueline Grande and husband George of Berlin; grandchildren Denise Grande of Bangor, ME, Tina Burlock of Berlin and Kenneth Grande, US Coastguard, stationed in New Port, NC; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 brother Robert Rutter of AZ; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Eleanor J. (Adams) Rutter on October 18, 1970.

Funeral Services will be private. Interment will be in the Christ’s Lutheran Cemetery in Chalk Hill, PA at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 101 Norway St., Berlin, NH, 03570.
