Adelino P. Trindade, age 83 years, died peacefully at Kindred-Highlander Transitional Care and Rehab on Monday, January 14th. He was the beloved widower of Juventina daConceicao (Miguel) Trindade. Adelino was the loving father to 2 daughters; Vitalia Amaro of South Dartmouth and the late Lydia Santos. Mr. Trindade is survived by 4 grandchildren: Melissa Franco, Alex Amaro, Stephanie Gouveia and Brian Santos; 3 great-grandchildren: Serena Gouveia, Jacob Santos and Mason Gouveia; and 2 sisters: Angelina Couto of New Bedford and Leontina Trindade of the Azores.
Mr. Trindade is predeceased by 2 brothers: Germano Trindade and Manuel Trindade
Adelino was born in St. Michael, Azores, son of Maria (da Rosario) and Jose P. Trindade. He immigrated to this country in 1976 and worked as a meat cutter at Gaspar Linguica until his retirement.
Mr. Trindade’s funeral will be Friday, January 18th from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 8 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Thursday evening from 6 - 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
