Maria (Costello) Arruda, age 85 of Fall River, passed away January 13, 2013. She was the wife of the late Manuel Arruda. Born in Lagoa, São Miguel, Açores, the daughter of the late Antone DeCosta Costello and Maria Pacheco (Dos Santos) Costello. She was a homemaker at home and parishioner of Santo Christo Church.
She is survived by her children: Manuel Arruda of Fall River, Carlos Arruda of Virginia, Margaret DaCosta of Swansea, Lucy Grilo of Canada, Isabel Martins of Somerset, Ana Sousa of Swansea, and Maria Medeiros of Fall River; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces & nephews. She was the mother of the late Antonio Arruda.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on THURSDAY at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Santo Christo Church at 9:00 A.M. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery. Calling hours on WEDNESDAY from 4-8 P.M.
