Ana M. (Figueiredo) Roque, of Hudson, died January 12, 2013 at Wingate Care Facility in Sudbury. She was 90 years old.
She was the wife of late Artur S. Roque for 61 years and mother of Rose F. Roque with whom she lived with in Hudson.
Mrs. Roque was born in Hudson, daughter of the late Jose Gomes Figueiredo and Joaquina Cabral. At the age of six she and her parents returned to Portugal where she was raised, attended school and married. In 1954 she returned to the United States and Hudson accompanied by her husband and daughter.
She was employed at Thomas Taylor and Sons of Hudson; H. H. Scott of Maynard; and Bose Corporation of Framingham.
Mrs. Roque was a kind and gentle person and a faithful child of God. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. Her lifelong hobby was crocheting.
Besides her daughter, she is survived by her siblings Laurinda Fernandes and Antonio Figueiredo of Hudson; Gracinda and Irene Figueiredo of Brazil; and Maria Machado and Francisco Figueiredo of Portugal; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, Jan. 15th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael’s Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael’s Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Monday, Jan. 14th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
