FALL RIVER …Edward L. Lehane, 73, of Fall River passed away on Saturday January 5, 2013.
He was the son of the late Edward L. and Evelyn (LaPointe) Lehane. He was born in Fall River where he lived all his life.
He belonged to St. Joseph Church and was a member of the IPC Club in Fall River. He graduated from Diman Regional Technical High School in 1958 and graduated from S.M.U. with a degree in Business Administration after taking night classes for 7 years. He was employed at Sylvania as a spare parts administrator, Quincy Shipyard as a ship welder and Veterans Safety Taxi as a driver. His hobbies included cards, cooking, watching sports, television and reading.
Survivors include 2 brothers: Robert Lehane of Fitchburg, MA and Charles Lehane of TN, a Son: Christopher Durand, 4 Daughters: Robin Lehane, Debra Lehane, Charlotte Martins, Rachel Sousa and 4 grandchildren: Zachary and Tiffany Sousa, Jacob and Jared Martins, ex-wife Catherine Simcock, all of Fall River, and ex-wife Joan St. Onge of Dartmouth.
A Remembrance Mass to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Monday at 10AM at Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover Street Fall River. Arrangements by the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street Fall River, MA 02723.
