Obituary

DAVID A. PARSONS, of Indianapolis, IN, formerly of Hull, died on Sunday, July 4th at the VA Hospital in Indianapolis after a brief illness. Born in Weymouth, Mr. Parsons was raised and educated in Hull, graduating from Hull High School. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran and an independent truck driver and auto mechanic. Mr. Parsons was a lifelong Hull resident until moving to Indianapolis 10 years ago. He was a Past Master Counselor of the Hingham Order of DeMolay.He leaves his 4 children; Carrie and Chrissy of Indianapolis, John of Florida and Jessie of Maine. He was the son of Ellen M. (Campbell) Parsons of Hanover and the late Edwin R. Parsons, Sr. Brother of Edwin R. Parsons, Jr. of Marshfield, Scott Parsons of Plymouth,Mark E. Parsons of Chesterfield, VA, Deborah A. Dow of Hull, Jeannie E. Blanchard of Whitman, Pamela L. McGovern of Attleboro and Cheryl Laassel of Jaffrey, NH. Nephew of Robert J. Cambell of Hanover. Also survived by 4 grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, July 9th at 10 AM at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham. Visiting hours at the Downing Chapel on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701-4688.The interment will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne on Friday at 12:30 PM.
