Carole Anne Marie McNeil, 74, of Natick, MA, daughter of the late George F. McNeil and Sarah M. (Benedict) of Natick, MA, passed away peacefully at Eliot Healthcare Center on Thursday, January 10, 2013, after an extended illness.
Carole was a CNA in the local area, and also volunteered at the Callahan Senior Center in Framingham. She loved Scrabble, crocheting, Yahtzee and crafts, and visiting with her elderly neighbors.
Carole leaves behind four children: Shevawn M. Bensik and her husband Bruce, of Pueblo, CO, Yvonne E. Ashworth-Thayer and her husband Chris, of Natick, MA, James R. Ashworth III and his wife, Julie, of Mesa, AZ, and Edward C. Jackman and his wife Pamela, of Jefferson, MA. Her infant son, Sean Patrick, pre-deceased her. She also leaves two brothers: Dana F McNeil and his wife, Irene of Cumberland, RI, and Ronald Bradford and his wife Anne of Medway, and three sisters: Marsha Feinberg and her husband Mark of Lunenburg, Barbara Creamer of Medway, and Sara Jane Slack and her husband, Michael, of Bartlett, TN. She is pre-deceased by her older brother, George F McNeil, Jr. Carole also leaves seven grandchildren: Sean Swart, Danielle Dugan, Paul Swart, Bruce Harris, James and Brandon Ashworth, & Benjamin Rush, and 7 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may visit with Carole's family at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common on Friday, January 18th at 11:00a.m. and join them for her funeral service at 1:00p.m. Burial will follow at Saint Patrick's Cemetery.
