John Ralph Lott, age 80, of Douglas, GA passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2013, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Lott was born on April 6, 1932, in West Green, GA to the late Walter Lott and Alma Jowers Lott.
Survivors include: life companion: Barbara Slagle, of Douglas, GA, three daughters: Karen (James) Beutman, of Lime Stone, TN, Kathy (Gary) Slagle, of New Paris, PA, and Kimmy (Ned) Carson, of Douglas, GA, three sons: Kevin (Christi) Lott, Keith (Melissa) Lott, and John R. Lott, all of Douglas, GA, eleven grandchildren, and nine great gradchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Walter “Tobe” and Alma Lott, three brothers, Knead Harper, Estelee Lott, and Terrell Lott, two sisters, Lucy Weeks and Blondine Johnson and a grandson, Brad Lott.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 12 from 6-9 pm.
Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Carver and Pastor Gregory Pope officiating. Interment followed at Douglas Cemetery.
