LOUGHLIN, Rosemary (Sheehan) of Duxbury, formerly of Marshfield and Newton, passed away suddenly on January 11, 2013 at the age of 71. Rosemary was born and raised in Jamaica Plain. She was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy and Cardinal Cushing College. Beloved wife of the late Edward F. Loughlin, with whom she shared 44 years of marriage. Loving mother of Elaine Twombly and her husband George of Braintree, Lynne Gaines and her husband Gregory of Duxbury, Mark Loughlin and his wife Jodi of Newton and the late Megan Loughlin. Loving grandmother of Brandon, Colleen and Meghan Twombly, Dylan, Avery and Emerson Gaines and Page Loughlin. Dear sister of John Sheehan Jr. “Jack” of Scituate and Marie Kurash of Duxbury. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Rosemary’s world revolved around bringing joy to and caring for her family. She had the luxury of daily participation in both her children and grandchildren’s lives. For this, she lived a rich life. Rosemary will forever consider herself a Green Harbor Girl, after spending a lifetime of summers in this adored beach town. She will be greatly missed by her childhood girlfriends, whom she shared decades of memories. Rosemary also loved to spend time with her beloved dog Lincoln.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of The Assumption Church, corner of Canal and Careswell St., Green Harbor, MA on Monday January 14, 2013 at l0:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Newton Cemetery, Newton, MA.
