William A. McDonald, 73, of Peabody Rd., Derry, NH died Monday March 4, 2002 at Integrated Health Services of Manchester, NH. Mr. McDonald was born in N. Reading, Ma, on September 18, 1928, the son of the late, Alexander and Mary (Leszezynski) McDonald. Mr. McDonald had resided in Derry since 1970, formerly living in N. Reading, Ma. Mr. McDonald was a US Navy veteran having served during WWII and later during the Korean Conflict while serving with the US Army. He worked as a self employed carpenter for many years in Southern New Hampshire and the N. Reading, Ma, area.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Sylvia A. (Cannata) McDonald, Derry, 10 children, Noreen Durney, Michele Tomaszewski, William McDonald, William McDonald Jr., Wendi McDonald, Thomas Hopkins, Jeanne Hills, Elaine Nelson, Linda Grindley and Diane Hopkins, 14 grandchildren, Three Brothers, Richard McDonald, Joseph McDonald, Edward McDonald, two Sisters, Helen Hayes, Dorothy Barr, numerous nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, memorial services will be held Thursday March 7th at 1:00pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry.
