Danh Ngoc Le, 92, of New Bedford died Tuesday January 8, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of the late Duyen Thi Nguyen.
Born in Saigon, Vietnam, the son of the late Chau Ngoc Le and Ngoc Thi Nguyen, he had lived in Vietnam all of his life before moving to New Bedford in 1991.
He was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church.
Mr. Le was a serviceman who served for 11 years in the French Army and 22 years in the Vietnamese Army.
Survivors include ten children, Trinh Le, Trong Le, Hoang Le, and Phuong Le, all of Vietnam, Truong Le, Khanh Le, Thu Tran, and Thuy Le, all of Las Vegas, Trung Le of Australia, and Dinh Le of New Bedford; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was the father of the late Trang Le and Bich Le.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Church on TUESDAY at 9AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Sunday afternoon from 2-4 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF DATE OF FUNERAL MASS. ALSO NO VISITING HOURS ON MONDAY.
