Obituary

KINGSTON, NH – Joseph W. Wales, 82 of Kingston, NH and formerly of Methuen, MA passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 8, 2013 at Penacook Place in Haverhill, MA.

Born and educated in Salisbury, MA, he was the son of Robert and Elsie (Wing) Wales. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict receiving the European Navy Occupation Medal and was honorably discharged. For more than 25 years Joseph was employed as a computer technician with the Honeywell Corporation in Lawrence, MA. After his retirement from Honeywell he worked at Lawrence General Hospital in the Patient Transportation Department.

He enjoyed traveling to Aruba, taking cruises and entertaining family and friends at the family pool during the summer months.

The widower of Jean A. (Caron) Wales, he is survived by his son, Scott J. Wales and his husband Neil S. Werfel of Seabrook, NH.
Nieces, Carol Kolifrath, Nancy Jean Wood, Diane Hird, Debbie Scarvagelieri and Donna Amasal.
One nephew Bruce Caron and his godchild John Joseph Kolifrath.
Joseph was predeceased by his nephew Charles Hird.

ARRANGEMENTS: In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Penacook Place, Joseph W. Wales Memorial 150 Water Street Haverhill, MA 01832. Visiting hours for family and friends will be Monday January 14, 2013 from 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844.
