Mary Helen T. Cranford
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, January 9, 2013, Mary Helen Timmerman Cranford, 88.
Mrs. Cranford was born in Augusta, GA and a member of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church. She received a degree in nursing from the Medical College of Georgia. Mrs. Cranford worked at the Veterans Administration Hospital and Georgia Regional Hospital. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a compassionate nurse.
Family members include sons: David H. Cranford (Frances) of Augusta, Stephen E. Cranford (Trisha) of Augusta and Peter G. Cranford, Jr. of Augusta; grandchildren: Tim, Jeremy, Adam and Matthew; and five great grandchildren. Mrs. Cranford was preceded in death by her son Francis S. Cranford and her sister Elizabeth Horton
A memorial service at the graveside will be held Monday, January 14, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at Westover Memorial Park with Fr. Gerald Ragan celebrant.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church at 1420 Monte Sano Ave., Augusta, GA 30904.
The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
