James Willard Harrison, 83, of Indian Mound, TN, died on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at his residence. He was born on August 16, 1929 in Stewart County, Tennessee to the late William Clemons Harrison and Lillian Heflin Harrison. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Chevaughan Harrison; two brothers, Vernie Harrison and Freddie Harrison; and sister, Yvonne Moore.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Brother Jim Suddeth officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 11, 2013 from 4-7 p.m. and Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Willard was a business owner of a drapery shop and employee of Brenners Furniture. He is also a member of Oakwood Church of Christ.
He is survived by his son, Andrew Harrison of Indian Mound, TN; daughter, Vickie Smalley of Clarksville, TN; three sisters, Joyce Carpenter (Barry), Edna Brown (Pat), and Violet Lee (Mike) of Clarksville, TN; and a granddaughter, Nicole Smalley.
Pallbearers will be Timmy Parker, Jimmy Harmon, Bobby Darnell, Sr., Bobby Darnell, Jr., Claudie Stamper, Anthony Morrow, Terry Parker, and Wade Harris. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronald Parker, Russell Parker, Roger Milton, Mike Lee, Pat Brown, and Barry Carpenter.
