Brockton – Jenny N. (Jangle) LaCerda 93, a resident of Brockton for over 70 years, died Tuesday January 8 after a period of failing health. She was the beloved wife of the late John A. LaCerda, Sr.
Born in Norwood, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Anna (Galecki) Jangle.
She had been raised in Nashua, New Hampshire before her move to Bridgewater where she was a graduate of Bridgewater High School.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting, crocheting and the challenge of a good crossword puzzle.
She is survived by her loving sons John A. LaCerda, Jr and his wife Claire of West Bridgewater, Robert E. LaCerda of Florida, David J. LaCerda and his companion Ruth Kraft of Missouri, Dennis W. LaCerda and his wife Pauline of Whitman, and Steven P. LaCerda of Brockton. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Christine LaCerda of Randolph as well as 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Leonard, her brother Joseph and one granddaughter, Elizabeth LaCerda.
Her funeral service will be held Monday January 14 at 11 AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St. (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. Visiting hours will be held Sunday January 13 from 2-4 PM.
