Donatilde (Morgado) Aguiar, 85, of New Bedford died Tuesday January 8, 2013 at the Oaks Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Laurenio Aguiar.
Born in St. Michael, Azores, Portugal, the daughter of the late Joao and Serafina Morgado, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life.
Mrs. Aguiar was formerly employed as a seamstress for Manly Manufacturing for many years.
She was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors include four children, Joseph Aguiar of California, Laurenio Aguiar, Jr. of New Bedford, Duval Aguiar of Missouri, and Cidalia "Sally" Aguiar of New Bedford; a sister, Donaria Viveiros of Canada; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Dinora Falacho.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 10:30 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation Friday morning 9-10:30 AM. For directions and guestbook, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
