Obituary

Arundel, Maine — Leroy E. Toshach, 84, of Arundel, Maine and formerly of Methuen, passed away Sunday January 6, 2013 at the Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine.

Born and educated in Atkinson, N.H., he was the son of Howard and Alice (Murley) Toshach. For 30 years he worked as an installer with AT&T retiring in 1988 and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Leroy enjoyed hunting and fishing; he adored his grandchildren and attended all their school activities and recitals.

The widower of Rita (Gavin) Toshach, he is survived by his son, Joseph M. and his wife, Denise Toshach of Arundel, Maine; one brother and one sister, Howard and his wife, Joan Toshach of Haverhill, and Ruth Luro and her husband Palmer of Fla.: seven grandchildren, Julia, Christopher, Sarah, Grace, Elizabeth, Megan, and Alex Toshach; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Leroy was the father of the late James G. Toshach.

Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, at 11 a.m. in St. Monica’s Church in Methuen, with burial to follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
