Rose M. Hunt, 85, of Fishers, IN, passed away on January 3, 2013.
She was born on August 16, 1927 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late John Adam and Elizabeth (Fuchs) Pfenning, German immigrants who came to America. Rose spent her childhood in Milwaukee as one of seven children whose parents owned and operated a grocery store. She graduated from Milwaukee High School in 1945 and attended Anderson College.
Rose worked at Guide Lamp for a short period before marrying the late Cleo Hunt in 1947. After working at home to raise her children, she joined Sears, Roebuck & Co. in Anderson, IN in 1967 as a telephone sales operator. She advanced from this position into a retail sales position at Sears and finally was appointed the Sears Interior Decorator in Anderson, where she spent 20 years as an outside sales consultant.
Rose was a member of the Church of God at West Anderson and was active in the choir and prayer group. She also attended the Fishers, IN Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in later years. She leaves behind many dear friends there.
She is survived by her two children, Jackie Smith (husband George) of Fishers, IN; and Brad Hunt (wife, Judy) of Westlake Village, CA; her three sisters, Mary Jane (Peter) Barker of Fort Ogden, FL; Joyce Snow of Anderson; Annie King of Coconut Creek, FL; brother Dan Pfenning of Anderson; three grandchildren, Angela Betner, Stacy Hunt, Charlotte Hunt and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother David Pfenning and her sister Caroline Foth.

A memorial service will be 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 12, 2013 with Charlie McTarget officiating at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service in Anderson, Indiana. Burial will follow at the East Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson. Visitation will take place on Saturday one hour prior to the funeral service.
