Mrs. Geneva Womack, age 86, of Douglas, GA passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an brief illness. Mrs. Womack was born on August 22, 1926 to the late James Stephen Herring and Effie Woods Herring.
Survivors include: her two sons:John Michael Womack of Douglas, GA and James M"Jim" (Brenda) Womack of Fitzgerald, GA and her two daughters: Mary Beth (Tim) Spivey,Martinez, GA and Jenny Vee (Liston) Matthews, Knoxwell, TN. Ten Grandchildren and Thirteen great grandchildren. Special friends: Dwain and Elsie Lancaster. Numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceeded in death by her Husband, Claude M Womack and a granddaughter, April Womack.
Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on January 8, 2013.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Shep Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Douglas City Cemetery. Sims Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
