Gertrude F. (McCullough) Lambert 76, of Diamond Hill Rd., died Friday, January 4, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Joseph “Ray” Lambert. Mrs. Lambert was born in Providence, a daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (McGregor) McCullough. She was a housekeeper for the Diocese of Providence and worked in many area parishes, retiring in 2006. She enjoyed reading and was a loving mother, and is survived by her daughter Michelle Roy and her husband Danny of Woonsocket, two grandchildren; David and Steven Roy, two brothers; Edward McCullough of Providence, and John McCullough of Glocester, and her sister Helen Turner of East Providence. She was also the beloved mother of the late Michael Lambert.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours will be Wednesday 4-7 PM.
