Shane Alan Higgins, 58, a resident of Methuen, MA, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the Lawrence General Hospital.
Born in Lawrence, Shane was a graduate of Tenney High School in Methuen. He had worked at the Methuen Water Treatment Plant for many years. He had also owned and operated Higgins Limousine Service. Shane was a big sports fan and followed the Boston Red Sox, the New England Patriots, and the Boston Celtics. He was also a fan of Golf. An avid Motorcyclist, Shane owned his own Can-Am. He was also a history enthusiast and learned alot through television. He enjoyed both the Military Channel and the Animal Channel.
The son of the late Edward J. Higgins, Jr., members of Shane's family include:
his mother: Maryann (Uzko) Higgins of Methuen, his brother: Edward J. "Buzzy" Higgins also of Methuen, his aunt and uncle: Claire and David Jackson of Littleton, MA, and his cousin Lynneanne Moss and her husband David Moss of Methuen, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 9:30 A.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, also in Lawrence, MA. Family and friends may call on Monday, January 7, 2013 from 4 to 8 P.M at the funeral home.
