Julia J. “Sheila” Walker died suddenly at the Brigham and Woman’s Hospital on Wednesday she was 78.
Raised in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late Thomas A. and the late Margaret (Kearey) Murphy. A Medford resident for many years, Sheila was retired from the quality control department at Polaroid Corp. Sheila was a lively and fun woman. She was devoted to her family and even cooked two turkeys on Thanksgiving just to make sure there was plenty for everyone. She enjoyed travelling and had many good times with family and friends at Foxwoods. She was a proud and active Gold Star Wife.
The beloved wife of the late Arthur “Bill” Walker, she was a devoted mother to Ellen Pignatone and her husband Paul of Medford and the late Robert Walker. She was a loving grandmother to Nicole Sica and her husband Danny and Janelle Quintero and her husband Josh. She was a loving great-grandmother to Alivia, Nicholas and Noah and is also survived by her brother, sisters and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Monday January 7th, at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden, at 11AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 thru 8.
