LYNN — Helen L. (Castle) Farris, age 88 years, of Lynn died suddenly at Union Hospital Dec. 28.
Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Louise (Hart) Castle, and the wife of Robert H. Farris Sr., with whom she shared 60 years of marriage.
She was a craft enthusiast, enjoyed sewing, doll making, baking cakes and candies, and was second mother to so many.
Besides her husband she is survived by two sons, Robert H. Farris Jr. of Lynn, Bruce K. and his wife Wendy Farris of Freemont, N.H.; two sisters, Earlene Jensen of Lynn and Marilyn Tansey of Lynn. Beloved grandmother of three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Frances Farris, Carolyn Barry, Lester Castle, Wilbur Castle Jr. and Shirley O'Donnell.
Service information: At her request private services were held at the NADWORNY Funeral Home, 798 Western Ave., Lynn. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
