Constance M. “Connie” (Knight) West, age 80, of Brockton died at Baypointe Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation December 30, 2012 after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Rutledge S. West and daughter of the late Winfred and Charlotte M. (Turcotte) Knight. She was born in Brockton and spent many of her early years in W. Newbury before returning in 1970.
Before her retirement Constance worked for the Barbour Welt Company, Alden Products and the former Woodridge Nursing Home all in Brockton. She was a member of the ladies auxiliary of the DAV Chapter 101 in Newburyport.
Constance is survived by her children; Lawrence, Ricky and Frank West, Phyllis Bunker and Carol Johnson all of Brockton, Robert West of Haverhill, Donald West of Dover NH and Jeffrey West of Attleboro; her siblings Maxine Knight of MO, Janet Snow of NH and Winfred Knight of AZ; many grand and great grandchildren and nieces and nephews; and her dear friends Richard “Sarky” and Susan Sarkisian of Stoughton. She was also the sister of the late William Knight and Irene Labonte.
