Obituary

LEICESTER: Hazel I. (Harvey) Goodrow 88, of 1075 Main St., died peacefully at her home on Tuesday, January 1.

She was the wife of Bernard W. Goodrow, Sr. who died in 1968. She leaves two sons; Bernard W. Goodrow, Jr. and his wife Linda of Spencer, and Kevin J. Goodrow and his wife Carol of Fiskdale, four daughters Linda M. Gaudet, Elaine A. Edson and her husband Joseph, Beth-Ellen Oveka and her husband John, and Lisa M. Skog all of Leicester, her sister Lorraine Hankins of New Brownsville, Tx.,many grand and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sons Jeffrey R. in 2010, Russell T. in 2000 and Thomas in 1969.

Hazel was a longtime volunteer at the Leicester Senior Center. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, knitting and crochet. “You will never know how much joy you have brought to this family”.

She was born in Holden, the daughter of Fred C. and Lucy J. (Rathburn) Harvey and lived here most of her life.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Leicester. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, Ma. 02241-7005 or VNA of Southern Worcester County, 534 School St., Webster, Ma. 01570.
