Antonio T. Ferreira, age 82 of Fall River passed away December 31, 2012. He was the husband of the late Maria Dos Anjos (Barroso) Ferreira and son of the late Jose and Virginia (Tavares Medeiros) Ferreira. Mr. Ferreira was born in Rabo de Peixe, São Miguel, Açores and resided in Fall River for 43 years. He retired in 1990 as a maintainance worker for Quaker Fabrics having worked there for 20 years and was a parishioner of Espirito Santo Church.
Antonio was the father of Tony Ferreira (wife Laura) of Fall River, Mary Silva (husband Manuel) of Westport, Cecilia Simas (husband Carlos) and Irene Jusseaume (husband John) both of Fall River and the late Joseph Ferreira. He was brother of José Tavares Ferreira of Toronto and the late Domingos and Manuel Ferreira; grandfather of Lisa Texeira, Daniel Silva and Manuel Silva Jr., Jessica Areias, Adam, Daniel and Rebecca Ferreira, Briana and Katya Simas, Chelsy and Kylie Jusseaume, Jaena and Wesley DaPonte; great grandfather of Jameson and Zachary Borges, Jayden Texeira, Christopher, Ethan, Austin, Jordyn, Ryan Silva, Cameron Areias, Korah Medeiros.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St., Fall River SATURDAY at 9 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in Espirito Santo Church, Alden St. at 10 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick cemetery. Calling hours FRIDAY 5-8 P.M.
