FRAMINGHAM: Ruth (Becker) Johnson, 95, died on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at the Oak Knoll Health Care Center following a period of declining health.
She was born in Amsterdam, New York on July 28, 1917 the daughter of the late Garrett Becker and Jessie (Wallin) Becker.
Ruth is survived by her loving and devoted daughter Phyllis A. Johnson of Framingham. She was the wife for 59 years of the late Walter E. Johnson who died on March 29, 1998.
She has been a resident of Framingham for the past 49 years moving from Amsterdam, NY in 1963. She had resided in Amsterdam, NY for 46 years and was a graduate of the Wilber Lynch High School with the Class of 1935 in Amsterdam, NY. She loved to spend time in her garden at her Framingham residence. Ruth was devoted to her family and enjoyed being with her daughter Phyllis.
Visitations will be held on Friday, January 4, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Rd (Off Rte 30), Cochituate Village, Wayland.
Her funeral service will be private at the convenience of her family with burial in Lakeview Cemetery in Cochituate.
