In Taunton, December 30, 2012 James P. Reid, age 90 passed away following a brief illness in Marian Manor Nursing Home. James was the loving husband of the late Louise (Donnelly) Reid. He was born in Raynham, the son of the late James & Mary (Duggan) Reid. James attended Taunton schools and was a graduate of Taunton High School. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army. James worked for the U.S. Postal Service until his retirement. He enjoyed walking, Cape Cod, and was a avid sports fan who enjoyed watching his grandchildren’s sports and cherished his time with his family. James is survived by his children James Reid and his wife Jane of Taunton, Christopher Reid of Ellsworth, ME and Jeffrey Reid of Thompson, CT. His grandchildren Amy and Michael Reid. His late brother Daniel Reid. Funeral home visiting hours will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Friday, Jan. 4th from 9:30-10:30am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church in Taunton at 11am. Burial will be in the family lot in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton.
