Carole M. Roberts, 68, of Natick, passed away on December 29, 2012 at the Metro West Medical Center in Natick.
Born in Needham, daughter of the late Howard and Carolyn (MacNeil) Roberts, Carole moved to Natick at the age of 8. She attended the Natick Public Schools and was a graduate of Natick High School. Carole began her career with the New England Telephone Company and was a dedicated employee through numerous mergers until her retirement from Verizon Communications after 45 years of service. She loved to travel, especially enjoying cruises with family and friends. Carole was known for always putting other people before herself and assisting in any way that she could to make someone’s life a little easier. She loved spending time with family and friends and especially enjoyed her “dinner nights” at Agostino’s Restaurant in Natick. She loved the holidays and took great pride in decorating for every occasion. Carole was also a great lover of animals.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Melissa Welch and her husband Robert of Hopkinton and her devoted sister, Shirley Brady of Plymouth. She was the loving aunt of Heather and John Heald and the dear great-aunt of Caroline Heald.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St. (at Natick Common) Natick on Thursday, January 3, 2013 from 3-7 PM. In accordance with Carole’s wishes there will not be a formal funeral service.
