Obituary

Anne Marie Kelley, 53, formerly of Haverhill, died peacefully at Exeter Hospital on Friday, December 28, 2012, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Methuen on January 29, 1959, she was the daughter of Gerald J. Kelley of Haverhill and her cherished mother, the late Jeanne (Everett) Kelley. She is the former wife of Mark Godfrey and of Arnold Horsch.
Anne and her nine brothers and sisters grew up on Haverhill’s “Acre” in the company of the other large, noisy Irish Catholic families from Saint James Parish. She attended Saint James Grammar School and was a graduate of Haverhill High School class of 1977. She graduated with a degree from Northern Essex Community College, and she continued throughout her life to pursue her love of learning through seminars, workshops, and college course work. She felt fortunate to be able to apply her talents in a variety of industries, including screen-printing, finance, and most happy in education at Merrimack College.
Anne loved and was much loved by her family and many friends. She loved her home, and angels, and the color pink. She was an appetizer aficionado, and her world-class deviled eggs and seven-layer dip will be greatly missed at family parties, but will continue to be remembered as her unique special contributions. Her passion for crochet will be enjoyed by others for years to come, as her gifts of hand-made baby clothes and blankets are passed along to the next generation of new mothers. She loved to dance, especially with her brother Mark.
In addition to her father, Anne is survived by her beloved son, and daughter-in-law, Mark and Valeryia Godfrey, and precious granddaughter, Vivien Godfrey; her siblings and their spouses and significant, Susan and Jim Kamberalis, Joe and Diane Kelley, Kathleen and Peter Lynch, Mary Kelley Wysocki and Paul “Chaz” Chesler, Maureen and Ken Dembitz, Michael Kelley and Christine Geisler, Mark and Patty Kelley, Eileen and Al Cunsolo and Christine Kelley and David Adams; her many nieces and nephews who loved her very much and by her dear friend Dick Nyberg.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday in St. James Church, 161 Winter St., Haverhill at 11 a.m. Visiting hours will be held today (Sunday) in the Linnehan-Grondin Funeral Home, 129 Kenoza Ave., Haverhill from 2 – 5 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Interment will be held in the St. James Cemetery, Haverhill.
