Roland H. Therrien, 83, lifelong resident of Pinardville, died December 28, 2012 after a period of declining health.
Born in Pinardville on November 23, 1929, he was the son of Adelard and Alice (Hebert) Therrien. He was educated in the local schools and served aboard the USS New Jersey after joining the US Navy.
Prior to retirement, Roland was an auto tech teacher at Nashua High School for 23 years. Previously, he owned and operated Roland's Garage in Pinardville for 13 years.
He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished time spent with family.
He leaves behind his wife of 63 1/2 years Jacqueline Y. (Hudon) Therrien of Pinardville; three sons, Dennis Therrien and wife Kelley of Somersworth, David Therrien and wife Jeannie of Rhode Island, Philip Therrien and wife Linda of Goffstown; one daughter, Janet P. Kenney and husband Dan of Goffstown; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter Louise Therrien in 1976.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Thursday, January 3, 2013 in Parish of the Transfiguration Parish, corner of Kelley and Alsace Streets. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
